A nine-year-old Afghan boy, Noyon, was abducted from Mendhi Street in Laudium on Sunday evening around 7 pm. Noyon, who lives with his parents in Waterfall, Midrand, was visiting family in Mendhi Street when the incident occurred. The father of the boy, Maajid, was out at the time with some friends. According to reports, a Gold Nissan Tida with four occupants was seen in the area. The suspects reportedly grabbed Noyon and drove off in the vehicle.
Camera footage later showed the Nissan Tida leaving Laudium at 7:14 pm.
Local authorities are investigating the incident and have urged the public to come forward with any information.
