The handover of the three 1000-litre water trailers was conducted on Wednesday afternoon at the TMS Lapa. The donation, made by Foodline, Laudium Relief, and Councillor Naeem Patel, will assist in distributing water to homes in Laudium, which is often impacted by water shortages.

During the handover Moulana Yusuf Abed highlighted the importance of charity and the vital role that access to water plays in people’s lives. "The act of providing water to others is an expression of mercy, compassion, and love for humanity, particularly for the elderly," said Moulana Abed. He praised the dedication of volunteers, calling their efforts a testament to the spirit of these organizations. He added, "This act of kindness reflects the unity within our community, and we pray that it is accepted by Almighty Allah."

Naeem Patel extended his gratitude to the donors, sponsors, and all the dedicated individuals and organizations who are always ready to assist.

Naeem Patel shared that they had recently provided 4,000 bottles of water to patients at Kalafong Hospital. The elderly in Atteridgeville, Soshanguve, and Hammanskraal have also greatly benefited from the work of these organizations.

“Whenever there’s a crisis in Laudium, this community comes together and unites,” Naeem remarked.

On behalf of LDM, Ibraaheem Dockrat thanked the sponsors for their generous donations and expressed his gratitude to the volunteers and the entire community for coming together in solidarity.
