A fire broke out at a building in the Laudium CBD shortly after 9am on Thursday.
PAJ Community Patrollers said while on patrol they seen smoke and immediately rushed to scene and called for assistance. Together with Emergency and Rescue SA, Laudium Disaster Management, Smart Medics and community members, the blaze was extinguished and staff that were entrapped inside rescued.
Reports that a generator caught alight. The scene is secured and the fire extinguished.
Fortunately no injuries have been reported.
