Question - Introduce yourself, Name, Surname and Party

Answer - I am Prajay Ramjee from ActionSA & PAJ Community Patrollers.

Question - Tell us about yourself and why did you decide to stand as Ward 61 Councillor?

Answer - I've decided that I can make a positive change by standing for Ward Councillor in the town which I've called home my entire life. I know that it will be tough but my team is up to the challenge. The team has been protecting the residents, & looking after & cleaning up public spaces under the name of PAJ Community Patrollers for the passed 7 years just for the Love of Laudium.

I hope that my past actions have proven that I will be the best Councillor for Ward 61.

Question - Where are your favorite places to spend time in our town?

Answer - It depends on my mood and time at hand: I'm known to enjoy an Italian dish at Pizza Vera & a cappuccino at Al Quds in Erasmia, meetings at Yaseens Square but my favorite place is on the hill between Atteridgeville and Laudium : a place which I keep safe & clean and a place which I share with the community through my patrol, hiking and stargazing initiatives.

Question - If elected, what three steps would you take to make our town a better place?

Answer - 1. I plan to turn our ward into a place which residents can be proud of by ensuring that it is clean & neat.

2. We will improve communication between service providers & rate payers: this will include an easier process to report issues.

3. I will support our residents' association, CPF, & all other organizations to help me make our town better. This will include empowering Laudium Disaster Management & other organizations who have consistently proven to help the community without any trace of corruption.

Question - List the issues we currently face in our Ward!

Answer - Municipal offices are closed or offline too often.

Our Police station is surrounded by drug dealer's negative elements.

Our clinic needs to be a Hospital again.

Services delivery:Water, Electricity, Sanitation, Refuse removal.

Beggars

Graveyard security

Education standard

Our ward needs to be cleaned up & beautified.

Question - How do you plan to involve residents in the decision making process in our town?

Answer - I will have a dedicated councillor number which would be manned 24/7.

I already have thousands of residents on my WhatsApp Safety groups and will use that to help improve communication & in the decision making process.

Question - should the community vote for you? What difference do you see yourself making?

Answer - I have a saying "Good heart no fear" - this Is my reminder to always be honest, ethical & to always do what's right in my heart. For when you do that, you have nothing to fear.

I am a man who is religiously tolerant & open minded: I will not force my beliefs on another.

I feel that taking a 50 Cent is an bad as taking R500 billion.

I have stood guard when my Muslim brothers walked to mosque for Fajr, I have helped the church with their projects, I have participated in our Palistine awareness campaigns, I always support local businesses & will continue to do what I have been doing even if I am not elected.

Sure I have made mistakes in the past, but each day I try to improve myself to become a better person.

Thank you.
