Laudium police are investigating a case of house robbery which occurred on Monday evening, 06 December 2021.
According to reports, the victim was sitting in the lounge watching television with her children when five armed suspects wearing masks entered the home on the corner of Jewel Street and 5th Avenue demanding money.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Simon Chokoe said, “They grabbed cellphones and ransacked the house. They locked the five domestic workers in the bathroom and took their cellphones.”
“One suspect assaulted the lady and kept asking where her husband was.”
A total of twelve cellphones and three laptops were stolen.
The suspects fled the scene on foot.
The following units were on scene; Laudium SAPS, Laudium CPF, PAJ Community Patrollers, COPS Tactical, Pro Active, Vision Tactical and Emergency and Rescue SA.
Police are pleading to anyone with information which might lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact them on 0860 0 10111.
