Addressing bullying and drugs in Laudium Schools

24 February 2021   •   ~1 min read

Police in Laudium together with stakeholders held an awareness campaign on anti-bullying and drugs for Grade R - Grade 8 learners this morning at Hillside Primary and Laudium Secondary Schools.

Learners were reminded to comply with Covid-19 regulations by wearing their masks, keeping distance between one another, washing their hands and sanitizing to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Learners were warned not to allow anyone to use them in the commission of any crime. They were urged to report any sort of crime to the police without fear by dialing 0860 010 111 or the local police station.

Schools and communities have a responsibility to all learners-including any who may be at risk from drug use. They are encouraged to help learners at risk, not ignore them.

To help, schools, parents, the community and the SAPS need to work in partnership.
